Jason Statham Workout Routine And Diet Plan To Get Ripped

Jason Statham rose to fame in the movie industry after appearing as an action star in a list of successful films including "Snatch", "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", "The Italian Job", "The Transporter", "Death Race, Crank", "The Bank Job", "War", "The Expendables", and "The Expendables 2".

Jason Statham is also known for his ripped physique and great abs, which have lots of guys trying to find out Jason Statham workout routine and diet plan he used to get ripped, but the actor was not always in such marvelous shape.

Before taking a serious approach towards fitness in 2009, Jason Statham was not skinny or obese, but he didn't look like the type of guy you'll look at as a fitness icon or take any fitness advice from.

Jason Statham before getting ripped

Statham had a noticeable amount of excess body fat especially around the abdominal area back then, and he confessed in an interview with Men's Health that he never paid attention to the amount of calories he was consuming, and ate anything he wanted to at that time.

All this changed however when Statham made the decision to improve his fitness level, and successful made an impressive body transformation that had everyone talking which he is maintaining up to this day.

Jason Statham dropped 17 pounds in 6 weeks working out 6 days a week, for 35 minutes a day.

According to reports, Statham accomplished his remarkable transformation in such short period of time because his workout was very intense, he worked extremely hard and he was disciplined with his diet.

Jason Statham lean and ripped

And if you look at Jason Statham pictures before he got ripped you'll see that he already possessed a great deal of muscle.

Also, most of the fat was around his abdominal area. So once he dieted down (eat less calories than expending) and trained effectively to lose the fat, his abs would've eventually become visible and he would've looked ripped without building crazy amounts of muscle.

That's the reason most personal trainers and fitness professionals advice that anyone who want to get ripped and possess high levels of body fat should focus on getting rid of the fat first. Because if you put on a decent amount of muscle, but it's covered in a flood of fat, you'll not look nicely ripped or reveal six pack abs.

Jason Statham Workout Routine

Jason Statham worked out with guidance from his personal trainer Logan Hood. They trained every day except Sunday.

From Monday to Friday they did exercises that involed trampolines, climbing ropes, heavy bags, barbells, kettlebells, crash pads, and a complex apparatus of pullup bars. Saturdays were reserved for hour long sustained trail runs.

According to Jason Statham they changed around the exercises everyday. He said “I haven’t had one single day in 6 weeks that has been a repeat”. “Every single day has had a different combination of exercises. Obviously, you repeat exercises over the course of 6 weeks, but you’ll never do that workout you did on Thursday the 23rd of August again. It always changes, and that’s what keeps it so interesting.”

Statham also mentioned that the workout was based on tracking and recording everything as they went along the program.  “All of this is important,” said Statham. “If you want to get faster, stronger, and healthier you have to record and track progress. Making progress is the primary goal of the training I’ve been doing.”

The workout was also structured in three stages I learned. Visual Impact also use 3 stages that impact the muscle and fat loss differently. When a workout program is created in this manner it gives you a better way of controlling your results so you can sculpt the perfect physique you want.

Here are the main exercises Jason Statham did in a workout session.

1. Ten-minute warmup on a Concept2 Rowing Machine
1. Heavy lifting using compound movements like the front squat, deadlift, or power clean.
2. Short circuits of various exercises with light weights.
3. Various carrying exercises with kettlebells or sandbags.
4. A progression of about 15 kettlebell exercises.
5. Various throws with medicine balls.
6. Interval training

Jason Statham Diet Plan

Statham give credit to an intelligent diet plan for his rapid weight loss. A good diet is very important for losing weight. We have indicated in numerous other articles on this site, that when it comes to fat loss, diet is king and exercise is the assistant for getting rid of the fat.

If you want to lose body fat including burning abdominal fat to get flat abs you must eat right otherwise you may just be wasting your time with exercise.

Controlling calorie intake is the most important aspect of a diet plan to lose weight, but the amount of calories a people need to consume to lose weight vary depending upon a number of factors such as their metabolism type.

Jason Statham ate 2,000 calories a day. The following are the main features of his eating plan.

1. He cut out all refined sugar or flour from his meals including bread, pasta, fruit juices and sweets of any kind. His dessert every night was plain yogurt with fresh fruit.

2. He recorded everything he ate and drank including water. “This is the bible,” Statham says, writing everything down makes it impossible for you to muck it up,” he drink 1 1/2 gallons of water a day to himself feeling full.

3. Statham spread out his calorie intake across a number of small meals which is a weight loss method that is used to keep yourself from eating too much at once. He ate six small meals daily consisting of egg whites, vegetables, lean meats, fish, nuts, and protein shakes.

One Big Mistake People Make When Exercising To Burn Fat That Prevents Them From Getting Lean

We all know that there are different ways to exercise that affects people's fat loss results differently. There are certain exercises that are much more effective at burning calories than others.

For instance, more intense training burns calories more quickly and burns more fat overall. Unlike long, slow cardio workouts, intense training keeps you burning fat even after your workout. If anyone do not pay attention to these variables when opting for an exercise plan they may not gain the fat loss results they want.

However, doing your exercise incorrectly is not really the biggest mistake you can make that will kill fat loss results. The biggest mistake is exercising to burn fat without modifying your diet to make sure that you are eating at a calorie deficit.

Many people have the idea that because they are already exercising they do not need to eat less calories to create a calorie deficit. This is a big mistake.

If you want to lose body fat to get a lean body, you need to create a calorie deficit with your diet and burn off additional calories with exercise. It is critical to make sure your body is in a calorie deficit even when losing calories with exercise.

Eat Bad And Exercise Hard To Make Up For It? Not the Right Idea

We cannot exercise away a junk diet. It can be said that a controlled diet is key for losing fat and exercise is used to help the process. Exercise is great for fat loss but if your diet is not dialed in it won't get you lean.

It's not uncommon to see people follow an exercise-only fat loss program in their efforts to get lean, and it's also not surprising that these are the people that never stop looking soft and chubby despite exercising hard everyday.

One cannot benefit from the fat burning effects of exercise if he or she continues to refill their body with excess calories.

Take note, your body will store all excess calories you feed to eat as fat. It's much easier and faster, unless you have a really fast metabolism, for your body to store excess calories when you consume them than lose calories when you exercise.

Exercising to burn fat is good, but make sure that you are also eating to create a calorie deficit if you want the fat to go away from your body.

Lose Weight By Walking: Can You Really Lose Weight Fast Walking?

The truth is you will lose weight walking but only if your diet is in order. The fact is, 80 percent or more of weight loss results is due to diet. Even when your exercise program is very intense, dieting is where the majority of weight loss results come from.

I once believed that exercise was the fastest way to lose weight, but I now know this is untrue. Here are 2 proven facts about diet and exercise.

- Exercise is for health and building or maintaining muscle.

- Diet is for health and weight loss.

By perceiving exercise as a way to gain health benefits and diet as the way to get weight loss results, you will lose weight more effectively. Picture diet as the cornerstone of losing weight and exercise as the way to "help" your diet.

This simple way of thinking will make a big difference in your ability to lose weight.

So How Does Walking Fit Into All Of This?

Walking is probably one of the most healthy physical activities that a person can do. It is easy to do and very enjoyable.

Here's what The Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports said about walking:

- Walking reduces inflammation (preventing hardening of the arteries)

- Walking reduces hemostasis (sluggish blood flow)

Intense exercise does not reduce inflammation. Therefore, even if you exercise at an intense level, you need to add walking to your routine for maximum heath.

I used to discount walking as an activity necessary for people who were not fit enough for "real" exercise, but I was mistaken. Walking is actually necessary for optimum health, even for someone like me who trains 4-5 times per week.

Walking will make you lose weight but only if your diet is "well in tuned".

How To Burn More Fat Quickly From Dieting - A Technique To Lose More Fat With Diet

When it comes to fat loss diets, there is not a specific type of diet that works for everyone. There are a variety of diets for burning fat that are effective. Would you go for it if you found a way to burn 15 to 20 pounds of body fat quickly before you choose one of the available fat loss diets on the market?

It's Possible To Burn 15-20 Pounds Of Fat In 2 Weeks

Crash diets can be very effective when carried out over a short period of time. It is however not recommended for long term dieting. But if you use crash dieting over the short term it is the fastest way to burn fat. You can reduce calories very low for about 14 days before your metabolism slows down. Just a reminder, you should not do this longer than 14 days.

Crash Dieting Will Burn More Fat Than Cardio Exercise

This concept is simple to understand. If your body burns 3,000 calories a day and you only eat 800 calories a day, you will create a 2,200 calorie deficit just like that. In order to burn that same amount of calories with cardio, you would have to jog on a treadmill for about 2 1/2 hours. It is just much easier to create a large calorie deficit with your diet than it is with exercise on a short term basis. However, in the long term, cardio is very effective at burning body fat.

Here Is A Simple But Radical Crash Diet Plan to Follow Before Your Fat Burning Diet

1) Eat only 600-800 calories each day for two weeks

2) Make sure to take multivitamins during this time

3) Avoid fatty and sugary foods

4) Eat about 100-150 grams of protein each day

5) Drink as much Green Tea and Coffee as you want

6) Make sure to drink plenty of water

Burn More Fat in Two Weeks Than Most People Do In A Year

I normally do this plan every year, around the middle of the month of May. I keep my body fat around 8 percent for most of the year, so this allows me to get super-ripped for summer.

I usually eat only skinless chicken breast in the morning for breakfast and one for lunch.

During the day when I get hungry, I'll drink a lot of of Green Tea. For dinner I will chop up a bit of cabbage and chicken and mix with chicken broth to make a soup (chicken broth is very low calorie and tastes great).

I'll add a little onions, cilantro, celery and jalapenos to this soup. This is how I will eat everyday for two weeks. It isn't fancy, but believe me your body will visually get leaner each and every day. It is very rewarding to see such fast fat loss results.

This Will Work along well for Any Of the Fat Loss Diets on the Market

Hugh Jackman Wolverine Workout - The Workout Routine And Diet Plan Hugh Jackman Used For Wolverine

Hugh Jackman is one of The Most Muscular Actors In Hollywood

This article will focus on Hugh Jackman methods which he used to get in such good shape for Wolverine. In case you haven't noticed Hugh jackman is buff. The man has a great muscular physique.

Hugh Jackman was in pretty good shape before he even prepared for his role as Wolverine, but Hugh wanted to add a bit more muscle. It was actually more important for Hugh Jackman to stay lean while gaining muscle. You see, Wolverine was already ripped, it wouldn't have worked for Hugh Jackman to get bulky.

Two Phases: Tempo Phase for Mass followed by Strength Training Phase. Each phase lasted 6 weeks.

Gaining Muscle Phase: Hugh Jackman's trainer changed the tempo that Hugh had been lifting with to force the muscles to adapt...to force the muscles to grow. He had Hugh lift the weight for 3 seconds up and one second down. At first this limited the amount of weight he could lift, but as he adapted it help him put on a lot of lean mass.

Strength Training Phase: This phase was all about lifting as heavy as possible with no rules on tempo. He just wanted to see how heavy he could lift. The great thing about the previous phase is that it made these weights seem lighter. Hugh actually was benching 315 for reps before filming began. He alternated these two phased for 5 months.

How He Stayed Lean During This Training

The last week of each phase, he would lift only once per week and concentrate hard on interval cardio. These workouts were intense and meant to help him burn off any little bit of fat he accumulated during the 6 weeks of each phase.

Every Friday was Bootcamp

He didn't want to follow a typical bodybuilder routine, because he needed to have a sleek strong look, not slow and bulky. This is why he would take part in an hour and a half bootcamp every Friday. It was brutal bodyweight and interval style training to boost the metabolism and keep him lean while gaining strength.

Summary: Hugh Jackman end up looking amazing for his role as Wolverine. He did it by gaining muscle at a slow rate while staying lean the whole time. For most people it is a mistake to follow the bodybuilding approach to gaining muscle...it simply isn't healthy or as effective to gain all the extra fat along with the muscle. Use an approach similar to Hugh Jackman for best results when aiming to get ripped.
